This video is part of ethnographic research conducted by Amanda Bernal Pérez within the Visual Trust (ERC) project. Drawing on different fieldwork experiences -the process of image-making through the work of documentary photographers, image dissemination by observing audience reactions at photography festivals, and image assessment through focus groups with teenagers- it explores the affective and imaginative dimension of the image. Far from being mere representations, photographs emerge as presences that stir emotions, doubts, and projections, showing how visual trust is built through the relationship between what we see, feel, and imagine.
